	Healthdyne Quantum PSV The Quantum PSV (Pressure Sup- port Ventilator) is a blower driven, valve controlled system that provides pressure to patients who require as- sistance in maintaining airway patent- cy and/or ventilatory assistance. The PSV senses the patient’s breathing efforts by assessing the inspiratory flow as the patient breathes and uses this information to trigger inspiration and expiration. The system also measures pressure continuously and can, if necessary, adjust for leaks in the patient circuit.
